The words were planned,
Thought about and shared,
I grew with every word,
I had never cared,
But then I did,
And things were great,
But the stress won out,
Couldn't combat the weight,
Messed up and honest,
Wondering about the why,
I'd be just as honest,
sober and dry,
But that isn't the case,
Not right now,
That act is over,
But I don't want to bow,
The applause is silent,
But my ears echo on,
My axis have spun,
A sunset not a dawn,
But that is life,
The misery and tunes,
I've grown windswept,
Just more sand on a dune,
My shape will change,
Given time,
But mine is borrowed,
I have only a dime,
So I ramble on,
With
the sun has set, moon is at play, i lay my head down, reflect on the day, hoping for progress, in raising that toe, my love is honest, no hustle and flow, i'll do my best, to make you mine, to see your eyes sparkle. and that smile shine, that would be enough, for my love to grow, but you're so much more, and i need you to know, it's no one thing, rather every last part, butterflies riot, like the beat of my heart, stronger with, for and because too, i want it all, i love you.

more,
more than a seatbelt will ever
be able to hold, straining as iron takes our tongue
and the glass begins its web and our skin gives up
a print to the reflections of the sky
A plane home,
holding it together like winter in June,
a passed away friends dry ground
hard to find as any
from a mile up,
or only six feet away.
No cocktails, no Dramamine,
Ill sick and seizure just the same;
my manual is made of liquid,
fragile as a prayer
recited in slumber
at the luggage station,
where a conveyer lets go, go, go
until the rollers break;
until the rubber throws up its hands
in split hair strands, and finally says
no.
A plain home,
holding it together like a desert palm,
a seed that strayed from comforts
of tropical showers to root
in spider-webbed salt flats

Shadow Proves the Sun Shines
It's hard for me to believe
That one day soon, you will be gone
You loved me like no other
So though I could do no wrong
But blindly loving
Was what you did best
So make teh good memories count
And forget about the rest
Let's go for a drive
With the windows rolled down
We'll take all teh wrong turns
And get away from this town
With you by my side
I know I'll never feel alone
I can't imagine leting you go
So I think I'll take the long way home
If I had to do it all over
You'd still be the one I'd chose
The pain of the end is worth it
Compared to what I would loose
I wouldn't have missed it for the world
Or changed a singl
I want to go back
to the early days of my youth
when the world was a mystery
and I did not know the truth.
I want to go back
to the days filled with fun
playing and climbing trees
until there was no more sun.
Because I grew up
and I learned about the world
and the feelings that grow
between a boy and a girl
For one boy,
I fell real hard.
And every memory we made
Cut deeply, and scarred.
And from this boy
My heart was taken.
Loved, then broken;
Returned, then forsaken.
And from another,
His acquaintance came at a cost.
Feeling was not mutual.
So, he left me vulnerable and lost.
But not before he took
What made me pure.
Always free, and it's never old
Dont have a thing, but I'm not sold
No shoes to wear, but truth be told
All I really need's the road
Three bucks, no luck, couldn't be happier
Wandering vagrant, all I ever wanna be
Movin on, long gone, I was born to be free
Not in any kind of trouble
Just the way I wanna be
Ran from home at seventeen
Got caught up in the machine
The city life can be so mean
It takes ya from reality
But with three bucks and no luck
There ain't one man out there
Who can say that they have got no worries
Except me and others like me
Movin' on, long gone, I was born to be free
Not in any kind o
Ridin on, take a look and I'm gone
Gettin out of this place, and there ain't a thing wrong
Got a tank full of fuel, and there's only one rule
106 down the highway, make sure they dont catch you
Takin off on a Saturday night, leaving my home and it feels so right
Seein the land, shot of whiskey in hand
Gettin off a good trip, driving out through the sand
It's a rush so surreal, and I'd explain how it feels
But to tell you the truth, I'm too wasted to tell
Takin off on a saturday night, leaving my home and it feels so right
Don't ever let go, take a spin and you'll know
And you'll never turn back, turn up the radio (Hey!)
I think it would be great if you posted some more poetry. your a great writer and i enjoy reading your stuff.. so please think about posting more... Thanks.
